Dinner Party

Not surprisingly, my idea for a giant spaghetti dinner was a huge resounding success. Everyone loved it. There was a ton of food, good company, and that's all you need. I need to have more great ideas. Oh, the food was all good too. After dinner we watched A Knight's Tale.

Things to be excited for:
1. I am getting a SuperBall in the mail in the next two days. They can bounce over houses.

2. IronMan is coming out in less than 2 weeks.

Tin Foil

So today since it's raining, I thought I'd get some work done. That's not really happening, but I have made an observation. The best way to distract me might be to give me a bag full of chocolates wrapped in foil. Why? Two reasons: 1) I'll spend a considerable amount of time eating the chocolate regardless of it's packaging, and 2) I'll try to meticulously unwrap each candy so as to leave the foil wrapper in as pristine a condition as possible.

I'm currently working on a bag of Rolos, but have had decent luck (recently) with Cadbury Creme Eggs and (not so recently) chocolate Santas.

No Ideas

Unlike Matt Forrest, I do not need any sort of reason to blog. This is a perfect example of that. I am about to go for a run and noticed that I had not contributed to this fine site in a while, so I sat down and started typing. That about brings us to right now...

While I was walking to class yesterday I was thinking about a few things that I think are odd about myself. I can only remember one of them at the moment. It was that I have to really think about it to spit to the right. I think this is from years of running and spitting away from the road. I run on the left side of the road, spit to the left. Interesting huh?

Making spaghetti for dinner tonight. Pretty excited for that. Should be very tasty. I'll let you know.

Girly Drink Monday

The title of this post will likely push the buttons of certain gender-aware individuals, and it really has nothing to do with the content of this post.

Haven't blogged in a while, and I'm trying to remember worthwhile things to blog about. I guess we've had a lot of visitors lately. Matt's mom (Jane) came to visit with his sister Eileen a couple weekends ago. She wasn't nearly as good at beer pong as she was over the summer (read: she lost every game she played), but it was still nice to have someone in town to buy us beer!

Molly Dull came to visit this past weekend; in fact, she just left this morning. While she was here, some lady on the Alumni Board turned 40 and asked Matt and his housemates if they could have a party at his place (she crazy). So I walk into TKD on Saturday early evening (around 8pm) to find a fridge full (seriously, it was packed) of good beer, and the kitchen fridge had at least 10 bottles of wine. Meanwhile, PartyGirl's friends were making some sort of lemonade concoction with an entire bottle of vodka. In a silly act, I texted my mother. It went better than I anticipated.

Last night, Molly led what has become a tradition when she visits: A Sunday-night 2-pub pub-crawl. Went to Mac N' Joes, then around the corner to Circle Bar for white Russians. They were quite tasty.

In other news, I'm finally starting to get antsy/emotional/etc. about graduating. I'll have to do some road-trippin' to go visit people this summer. Maybe I'll even pick up Eric if I drive to Chicago.

Some funny stuff

I like dark comedies. That's why I like the Wayans Brothers.

My girlfriend looks a little bit like Charlize Theron, and a lot like Dog the Bounty Hunter. She's writing a book about contemporary feminist theory. She let me read the manuscript and I got to say: It's pretty good for a girl.

I went to my school reunion not too long ago, and it was very weird -- because I was home schooled. Just me there by a bowl of punch, listening to Kool and the Gang. Why I rented that limousine, I have no idea.

Sometimes I'll do something and I say to myself, "That is so Raven." And then, other times I'll do something and I'll be like, "That was not very Raven."

If you read my blog, you know I'm a pilates freak. And by pilates, I mean waffles.

I've been trying to quit drinking. The other day I drank a 12-pack of O'Doul's, and I went riding around in my car and I got pulled over by a cop. He's like, "Son, have you been drinking?" And I'm like, "Uh, sort of." he said, "What have you been drinking?" and I said "O'Doul's, nonalcoholic beer." And he wrote me a ticket for being a gaylord.

My Latest Kitchen Creation

I eat the same 5 things for lunch* over and over.
1. Ramen
2. Spaghetti O's
3. Mac' 'N' Cheese
4. PB & J
5. Chimichangas

The only thing that changes is the flavor (if the item comes in more than one), the amount of cheese I put on it, or the amount of hot sauce I put on it. Recently, I discovered the best cheese/hot sauce combination yet.

A while back, Court stayed at my house for a week and bought a thing of Velveeta. Andy refuses to eat the stuff and I never have an use for it. Then I had a revelation, I can melt Velveeta into anything I want! I choose spaghetti o's. Add a little hot sauce and bam! Queso Spaghetti O's. They are quite amazing. I just finished eating a pot actually.

*I have a frozen dinner every once in a while for dinner to add variety.

P.S. Happy 250th post!

Animals!

I was just walking home from playing some volleyball (my feet hurt) and I looked down a driveway that goes behind a house on my street cause I heard some noise and there was a deer staring at me from the edge of some trees. Then I also noticed a groundhog or some other large rodent looking thing sitting on a retaining wall next to the drive. It was all too much nature. This after every tree on Western tried to ruin my frisbee golf game yesterday. I will have my revenge, watch your back outdoors!

Idea?

Reading Matt's post made me think back to when we first started blogging, which led to thinking about the summer, which led to how it's now nearly summer again, which led to something else...you get my point? No? I'm not really sure what it is either (surprise surprise), but what I think I could use is some hangout time with the apt212 crew + Bree + Nathan + MDull + Courtney + whoever else was frequently in our apartment last summer. We'll have to find a run-down venue for said hangout time, but we'll figure it out. Thoughts?

This post is uselss

As much as I keep telling myself I will blog I can't find the motivation to do so...or maybe my life really is just that boring (I think Eric will agree with that option)
Lots of people have left town for this weekend because it is Easter, I have not had any real motivation to do a prolonged search to see who is left so here I am.
Sad? Pathetic? Probably.
If someone can find me a reason to blog I will return (I kind of mean that statement)
Hmmmm well that's that.
Peace out!

The Office

I recently watched a few of the first episodes of the British version of the office and I must say that it was possibly the worst television show I have ever watched. The fact that the show has almost no plot really shows through in this version. Ricky Gervais mumbles through most of his lines so bad that I did not even know what he was saying. I can't stand Michael in the American version, but at least he is off set by some other interesting characters. In the British version, not so much. The other characters have no personality and say almost nothing. Truly a worthless show. I am very surprised that it was even turned into a show here. Top Gear is way better.
